The Recovery Matrix

Updated: May 1, 2020

The Recovery Matrix is my way of interpreting the diverse ways that humans heal and how we are all connected with what we struggle from - mentally, physically & spiritually. When in balance, the synergy between our mind, body & spirit produces miracles and feeds off of gratitude. Gratitude IS a magnet for miracles and is the heartbeat of the matrix.

The Recovery Matrix is where spirituality & science meet to help us connect with ourselves (and others) in pursuing inner peace, authenticity & happiness. My passion is to help grow awareness surrounding our mental health - to bring us closer together and inspire personal empowerment, love, hope & change.

"God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I can not change, the courage to change the things that I can, and the wisdom to know the difference."

- Serenity Prayer

For example with substance abuse, alcohol & drugs are just the solution for those who are struggling - it's not the actual problem. The problem is the lack of coping skills for a thought process controlled by fear. That fear drives relationships based on the need to be accepted by others. At the same time, the most important relationship (the one with ourselves) is neglected because the mind is filled with assumptions, gossip & self-judgement - leaving little room for love to battle the relentless lies in our mind. But there IS room... and love WILL find a way.

"Love is what you are; its the center of your creation.

It's your point of origination & can become your point of attraction as well."

- Dr. Wayne W. Dyer

So what creates that kind of mental warfare in the first place? What creates that busy marketplace of a thousand little voices in our heads speaking at once in our minds? Where do those emotions from fear come from? How do we enable our inner warrior to battle those emotions? Is sustainable change possible? All these and many other important questions will be explored through my thoughts, your thoughts and the thoughts of others, together.

As the West Coast Rap All-Stars once said back in 1990, "We're All In The Same Game".

Regardless of what you are battling mentally, emotionally or physically, and regardless of your race, religion or sexual orientation - you are welcome here. Your voice is desired. You are not alone. You are loved. You can remain anonymous but its important that you know you have a place to be heard.

I will use this as a platform to organically express the thoughts & emotions that I am feeling. By doing this for me is how I express the most genuine love for you. It took me awhile to understand that the very best thing we can do to help others heal is to always be working on being the best version of ourselves - to grow a strong, loving relationship with ourselves FIRST. One day at a time. That allows us to radiate a healing energy from authenticity. You can not truly give love if you do not love yourself. Its like handing someone a gift box with nothing on the inside.

“I change the world by changing myself. I am changing the world by loving myself, by enjoying life, by making my personal world a dream of heaven. I change myself, and just like magic, other people start to change.”

Don Miguel Ruiz

Please subscribe, email or call if you'd like the opportunity to share your thoughts, be a guest on media recordings or if you are seeking resources for treatment, therapy, spiritual wellness/self-care, personal growth and so on. I will do my best to help connect those relationships or provide suggestions from the mentorship I have received.

My views expressed here are from my point-of-view and shaped by my personal experience on subject matter that I have evolved into being very passionate about:

The pursuit of happiness through awareness, transformation & love.
